Walking in the unfamiliar

IMG_1660Taking a little afternoon respite in a busy day with some Rishi Matcha Super Organic Green Tea and a bit of honey and lemon! It is good to rest a bit in the middle of the day’s activities to reflect a little on the many opportunities life brings our way.

We can all do many things that is for sure, but what are those activities and endeavors the Lord is directing us to focus on.

There comes a time in our lives where we find it necessary to selectively choose where we will put our focus and energies with the leading of the Holy Spirit and we learn to let go of certain involvements that are distracting us from those areas of our focus where we feel God leading us in.

Often we are clear about the direction to walk in and other times our path seems vague, uncertain, and not known. It is during these times we continue moving in doing those things God has been placing on our hearts and as we move forward, we can rest in the assurance that He will open up those ways for us to walk in.

When we begin a journey into the unfamiliar, we follow the same habits we have developed in the daily practicing our spiritual disciplines in knowing our Father remains Faithful to us in each moment in our walk and as Proverbs 3:4-5 states; “Trust in the Lord with All our heart, leaning not unto our own understanding, acknowledging Him in ALL my ways, it will be He who directs my paths.”

As the saying goes, The Lord cannot move a parked car.

So when you way becomes uncertain, continue doing those things you know in your heart are the right things to do, and continue practicing the disciplines of your faith and as You seek Him with ALL your heart, He will be certain to open up pathways for you to walk in and it will be His Holy Spirit who guides, directs and fully equips you to fulfill your God-ordained destiny.

As we walk in the unfamiliar in our Christian walk, we learn to build a confidence in our God who created us to do good works before the foundations of the earth were formed and we know without a doubt it will be He who completes the work He has begun in each one of us until that final breath is taken and He ushers us into our eternal dwelling home, to live and reign with Him forever in All eternity.

I realize that only those acts, deeds, and endeavors accomplished in His ability that have been motivated by a sincere and genuine love will pass through the gates of His Glory, and all fleshly activities will burn and be as rubbish.

So, how much more should I depend, relying on His Spirit to be the compassion, to be the love, to be the authentic God Heart who overflows from me towards others needs to be?

My hope is to hear His voice say; “Well done my good and faithful servant” when I am face to face with my Lord and Savior, My Father God and the Holy Spirit.
